Many of the ‘Windows Core Infrastructure Applications’ (Operations Manager 2007, Configuration Manager 2007, etc.) require a specific version of Microsoft SQL as the Core Database Engine and/or Core Reporting Services Engine to function. Configuring Windows 2008 Failover Clustering is another mechanism we have to make Applications ‘Highly Available’ for End Users.
